BRIDGES OF PRIDE

Whenever I had gone on a brief trek on the sands and come closest to the riverfront, I marveled at the bridges of steel and stone as they beamed valiantly looking up at the sky. Spanned across the river Krishna they elegantly framed the skyline of our city Vijayawada. As I waded across the river bed I’m captivated by their charming dignity; the bridges draped themselves like well-behaved models. As if imploring me, I’m ready, waiting, quickly fix me up in fine colors in your camera.

They wore orange tints of sunlight in the mornings or invited the dappling effects of clouds as guests in the evening hour, or reflected their pureness in the streams, as clear as glass, flowing beneath the mighty structures. Even, after a year of Sundays, the majesty of the bridges will always remain as bewitching as they are boldly monumental – forever!

There are endless angles I could capture them in their ruminative moods as long as I’m not tired of enduring the summer fury.

Vijayawada is the largest city on River Krishna, in Andhra Pradesh, India.

    Sir,
Your lucid write-up, the splendid camera work are outstanding. I am an artist, though, not through a degree or by profession, my passion as an artist is ignited whenever I see such brilliant photographs. It is the light, the composition and the rule of thirds that has brought a splendid finish to the never-seen-before bridges of the Venus of South in fabulous glory.
I would be delighted to paint a few of them, with your kind permission please.
