YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CALIFORNIA)

You can’t stop and pull out your camera wherever you find a photo worthy location,’ my Doctor friend driving a hundred lakh expensive Mercedes Benz, worriedly cautioned me. It isn’t India; they are rules to follow in public places or on the highways. ‘Trespassing laws are stricter here and seen as a criminal offense.’ He amply made it clear, not wanting his childhood friend to land in any trouble or danger wading into the wilderness that seemed not safe.

But the visit to the Yosemite National Park I can vouch was a rare photographic thriller.

Yosemite National Park in California was first recognized and discovered in 1890, with its dramatic landscapes, astonishing sights, and waterfalls tumbling down from granite peaks. The park attracts nearly 4.3 million visitors.

It is one of the natural wonders of the world where we can see the weathering and natural erosion spanning 30 million years.

Although the temperatures were well below my tolerance level, freezing, numbing, and bone biting, it didn’t discourage me from wandering freely in the valley but cautious enough not to go beyond the watchful eye of the Doctor buddy who sat warmly in the car.

I suppose my photographs of the valley would match what people believe in here: ‘this is the place to pray and heal, cheer and give strength to body and soul.’
