THE MAJESTY OF VIJAYAWADA’S BRIDGES
The railway bridges are the pride of Vijayawada City. They are the engineering marvels majestically perched across the Krishna River. I stood at a safe distance, wondering at the floodwaters challenging the huge granite foundations upon which lay the massive iron matrix of railway pathways. Whenever I visited the bridges, I saw them afloat, showing a rare confidence like an emperor seated on a throne; dressed and shone upon differently by the morning sunlight or floating in the golden tones at dusk.
